Braj is one of the easiest weekend getaways from Delhi: about 150 km and 3.5–4.5 hours by road on flat highways, to the land of Radha and Krishna. Vrajraj Farms & Retreat at Punchhari, on the Govardhan Parikrama, gives you open fields, a gaushala and quiet nights, with Govardhan, Barsana, Mathura and Vrindavan all within an hour or so. You won't sit in a hill-station traffic jam, and every generation of the family finds something.

Getting there
- From Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad: the Delhi–Agra highway (NH-44) via Palwal and Kosi Kalan, then towards Govardhan.
- From Noida and Greater Noida: the Yamuna Expressway south to Mathura, then the Mathura–Govardhan road.
- Flying in: Noida International Airport at Jewar is about 100 km (2–2.5 hours) away.

A two-day plan
Saturday
- 6–7 am: leave Delhi before the traffic. Stop for breakfast on the highway.
- 10–11 am: reach Govardhan. Darshan and milk abhishek at Daan Ghati, then Manasi Ganga.
- Afternoon: check in, eat lunch and sleep it off. Let the children find the cows at the gaushala.
- Evening: sunset at Kusum Sarovar and aarti at Radha Kund, or simply a walk through the fields.
Sunday
- Dawn: walk the longer loop of the Govardhan Parikrama from Punchhari (about 12 km), or send the elders round by e-rickshaw.
- Late morning: breakfast, then a slow morning on the farm, or a drive to Barsana.
- Afternoon: start home after lunch, or go via Vrindavan for evening darshan at Prem Mandir and drive back from there.

Who it suits
- Families with grandparents: darshan and the parikrama for the elders, a farm and open space for the children.
- Couples: quiet mornings, simple food and sunsets over the fields.
- Friends and small groups: walk the full 21 km together at dawn or on a Purnima night.
- Teams: a short, different kind of offsite. See corporate offsites.
- Anyone tired of the city: sometimes the best weekend is about doing less. See wellness at Vrajraj.
Good to know
- Best season: October to March. Summer days are hot, so plan early mornings and evenings.
- Busy weekends: Purnima, Govardhan Puja, Holi and Janmashtami bring huge crowds. Check the festival calendar.
- Winter fog: from mid-December to mid-February, avoid driving before sunrise, and expect lower speed limits on the Yamuna Expressway.
- What to pack: comfortable clothes for walking, a shawl in winter, a torch for early starts, and socks or cloth slippers for the parikrama.
